REJECTED

Sometimes a project doesn't turn out well, and there isn't much I can do to correct whatever went wrong (sigh). So I have to reject it - it's not sellable - heck. So what happens? I get to keep it for my own use! Ah ha! I just finished a pillow, and I just couldn't get the zipper right. And worse, I had cut the fabric a little and couldn't hide it or fix it. So, now I have a new pillow for my living room sofa. Take a look. And see how I messed up the zipper. The end product just didn't pass quality control, and I would never try to sell something that isn't up to par.

  1. yeah, I know! I have a great comforter too that didn't make quality control. I love it!

  2. We all have projects that turn out like that I think. I'm the same way with quality control. People are paying for these items so of course I want them to be "perfect" in every way.

  3. I make tons of mistakes (well, ounces) - but I take them apart and make something new and mistake-free. It's all about recycling/upcycling for me. Thanks for sharing your pillow "mistake"; I think it turned out pretty darn good.

  4. It still looks lovely though, mistake or no! I'm the same way about quality control- both about wanting things to be perfect, and about being just a little bit excited for myself when they're not ;)
